仲夏夜之夢 Midsummer-Night’s Dream

奧布朗：就在那時候，你看不見，但我能看堅持公荐的邱比特在冷月與地球之間飛翔；他瞄準了坐在西方寶座上美好的童真女，很靈巧地從他的弓上射出他的愛情之劍，好像他能刺透十萬顆心的樣子。

他的汁液如果滴在睡着的人眼皮上，無論男女，醒來一眼看見什麼生物，都會發狂似的愛上他。

茱麗葉：好人，再會吧！這一朵愛的蓓蕾，靠著夏天的暖風吹拂，也許會在我們下次見面的時候，開出鮮豔的花來，晚安，晚安！但願恬靜的安息同樣降臨到你我兩人的心頭。
羅密歐：啊！你就這樣離我而去，不給我一點滿足嗎？
茱麗葉：你今晚還要什麼滿足呢？
羅密歐：你還沒有把你的愛情忠貞的盟誓跟我交換。
在你沒有要求以前，我已經把我的愛給了你；可是我到願意重新給你。
羅密歐：你要把它收回去嗎？為什麼，愛人？
茱麗葉：為表示我的慷慨，我要把它重新給你。可是我只願意要我已有的東西；我的慷慨向海一樣浩瀚，我的愛情也向海一樣深沉；我給你的越多，我自己也越是富有，因為這兩者都是沒有窮盡的。親愛的蒙太古，願你不要負心。再等一伙兒，我就會來。
羅密歐：幸福的，幸福的夜呀！我怕我指示在晚上做了個夢，這樣美滿的事不會是真實的。
Juliet: Sweet, good night!This bud of love, by summer’s ripening breath,May prove a beauteous flower when next we meet.Good night, good night! As sweet repose and rest.Come to thy heart as that within my breast!
Romeo: O, wilt thou leave me so unsatisfied?
Juliet: What satisfaction canst thou have tonight?

星空下，譜出了夜鶯的甜蜜語調
傳唱著仙國的催眠曲
讓精靈在美麗的夜色下起舞。

奧布朗：我知道一處茴香盛開的水灘，長滿著櫻草和盈盈的紫蘿絲，馥郁的金銀花，薌澤的野薔薇，漫天張起了一幅芬芳的錦帷。
有時提泰尼雅在群花中酣醉，柔舞輕歌低低的撫著他安睡；小花蛇在那裡丟下發亮的皮，小精靈拿來當作合身的外衣。
Oberon: I know a bank where the wild thyme blows, Where oxlips and the nodding violet grows, Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine, With sweet musk-roses and with eglantine: There sleeps Titania sometime of the night, Lull’d in there flowers with dances and delight; And there the snake throws her enamell’d skin, Weed wide enough to wrap a fairy in.

羅密歐：那是我的意中人；啊！那是我的愛；唉，但願她知道我在愛著她！她欲言又止，可是她的眼睛已經道出了她的心事。帶我去回答她吧，不，我不要太魯莽，她不是對我說話。天上兩顆最燦爛的星，因為有事她去，請求她的眼睛替他們在空中閃耀。要是她的眼睛面成了天上的星，天上的星變成了她的眼睛，那便怎樣呢？
她臉上的光輝會掩蓋了星星的明亮，正像燈光在朝陽下黯然失色一樣；在天上她的眼睛會在太空中大放光明，使鳥兒誤認黑夜已經過去而唱出她們的歌聲。瞧！他用纖手托住了臉龐，那姿態是多麼美妙！啊！但願我是一隻手上的手套，好讓我親一親她臉上的香澤！
Romeo: It’s my lady, O, it is my love! O, that she knew she were! She speaks yet she says nothing: what of that? Her eye discourses; I will answer it. I am too bold, ‘tis not to me she speaks: Two of the fairest stars in all the heaven, Having some business, do entreat her eyes. To twinkle in their spheres till they return. What if her eyes were there, they in her head? The brightness of her cheek would shame those stars, As daylight doth a lamp; her eyes in heaven. Would through the airy region stream so bright. That birds would sing and think it were not night. See, how she leans her cheek upon that hand, That I might touch that cheek!

羅密歐：她說話了。啊！再說下去吧，光明的天使！因為我在這夜色之中仰視著妳，就像一個塵世的凡人睜大了出神的眼睛，瞻望著一個生著翅膀的天使，駕著白雲緩緩地駛過了天空一樣。
茱麗葉：喔羅密歐，羅密歐！羅密歐你在哪裡呢？

這裡有四對戀人，說的話兒倘應心，該攜手共締鴛盟。

薩巴斯基：我願意與妳倆一同前往；立過的盟誓永不欺罔。
奧莉薇雅：走吧！神父，但願天公作美，一片陽光照著我們酣醉！
Olivia：Blame not this haste of mine. 羅密歐：小姐，憑著這一輪皎潔的月亮，她的銀光塗染著這些果樹的梢端，我發誓…
茱麗葉：啊！不要指著月亮起誓，她是變幻無常的，每個月都有盈虧圓缺；你要是指著她起誓，許你的愛情也會像它一樣無常。
羅密歐：那麼妳要我指著什麼起誓呢？
茱麗葉：不用起誓吧；或者要是你願意的話，就憑著你優美的自身起誓，那是我所崇拜的偶像，我一定會相信你的。
羅密歐：要是我的出自心底的愛情…
茱麗葉：好，別起誓了。我雖然喜歡你，但卻不喜歡今天的密約，它太倉促、太輕率、太出人意外了，正像一道閃電，等不及人家開口，已經消失不見。
Romeo: Lady, by yonder blessed moon I swear.That tips with silver all these fruit-tree tops…
Juliet: O, Swear not by the moon, the inconstant moon, That monthly changes in her circled orb, Lest that thy love prove likewise variable.
Romeo: What shall I swear by?

羅密歐：愛情是嘆息吹起的一陣煙；戀人眼中有她淨化了火星；戀人的眼淚是它激起的波濤，她又是最智慧的瘋狂，哽喉的苦味，沁舌的甜蜜。啊！火炬遠不及它的明亮；她晈然懸在暮天的頰上，像黑奴耳邊璀璨的珠環；她是天上明珠降落人間！瞧她隨著女伴進退周旋，像鴉群中一頭白鴿遍蹮。我要等舞闌後追隨左右，握一握她那纖纖的素手。我從前的戀愛似假非真，今晚才遇見絕世的佳人！
Romeo:Love is a smoke raised with the fume of sighs;Being purged, a fire sparking in lovers’ eyes;Being vex’d a sea nourish’d with lovers’ tears:What is it else? 茱麗葉：你這樣站在我的面前，我一心想著多麼愛跟你在一塊兒，一定永遠記不起來了。

茱麗葉：天快要亮了，我希望你快去，可是我就好比一個淘氣的女孩子，像放鬆一個囚犯似的讓她心愛的鳥兒暫時跳出她的掌心，又用一根絲線把她拉了回來，愛的私心使她不願意給他自由。
羅密歐：但願我是妳的鳥兒。
